Welcome to the Voice over IP (VoIP) website. Hopefully here you'll find everything you need. In particular:- Voicemail information;
- Features such as transferring phone calls and conferencing;
- Other means of contact (such as SIP & SipBroker);
- and Contact information in case something goes wrong
You are encouraged to feedback as much as you like - be it problems, or suggested improvements. The email address to use for anything VoIP related is voip@stat.ubc.ca. Any problems reported now will make things much better down the road.

Quick Start Guide
The following information is for the busy people:
- First time configuration of the voice mail:
- Press the message button on your phone. The mail box number is your extension number, and the default password is 1234.
- Change your password - this is very important! To do this, press "0" (zero) at the main menu, then 5.
- Change your personal greeting. To do this press "0" (zero) at the main menu, then press 3.
- The phone number for people to call you is 604 822 1299. They can then either dial your extension number straight away (it's listed on the website), or press 8 for the directory.
- To dial out, press 9 before the number. If it's a UBC number, (e.g. 822 1299) then just dial the last five digits (no 9 necessary) e.g. 21299.
- Please be aware that the maximum length of any call is one hour.
