Printing

How do I add StatNet printers to my personal laptop/ desktop?

Notes: Must be using wired to connect to local StatNet internal network in order to use our printers. Each ESB office will have one or more ethernet ports for you to connect your devices to.
You can not print from UBC wireless.

If you haven't used the wired network before, please follow the instructions in this FAQ article https://www.stat.ubc.ca/faqs/how-do-i-connect-ethernet-ports-stat-esb-offices to gain access to the high speed wired network in ESB.

Printer1:

  • Model: LaserJet Enterprise M605
  • Location: Mail room
  • IP: 142.103.175.193
  • You can print from the Mailroom PC or you can add this printer to your computer via IP address and print from your computer

Printer2:

  • Model: Optra
  • Location: ESB 3163 (Meeting Room)
  • IP: 142.103.175.197
  • Add this printer to your computer via IP address

When connected to the ESB wired network you should be able to see the printers under Printers & Scanners on Mac or Windows.

If you don't then you can try the following instructions to manually add them to your device:
